No CO2 Emissions
The 2C Solar Light Cap provides lighting for the wearer whenever they need it, because its lighting system is integrated into the cap that is worn on the head. Because its internal batteries are charged during the day from the limitless energy of the sun, there is no cost to the environment as it is operated - no carbon dioxide emissions, and no need to dispose of batteries.
No fossil fuels
No fossil fuels are used to operate the 2C Solar Light Cap - it gets its power from the sun while it is worn, or placed in a window to charge. We suggest it can be used instead of the fossil fueled lights in your home - why do we need to light an entire room, when a light shining downwards into your hands is just as effective? The 2C Solar Light Cap is bright enough to read by, and the placement of the bulbs provides a wider beam at closer distances to aid reading.

How much power fossil fueled power is used to make the 2C Solar Light Cap? This is an old argument against solar power, that the power used to create a solar cell is more than the power it will ever create. However, in the case of the 2C Solar Light Cap, we have selected one of the most efficient manufacturing methods - a roll-to-roll process that dramatically reduces power usage during its creation.
Furthermore, we have estimated all the energy needed to manufacture and transport the entire product including the nuclear or coal fueled electricity in the factories and the petrol used to transport our shipments. We calculate, that by turning off your home lighting while you read our instruction manual ( and using the 2C SLC to read it of course !) , you will have recovered the carbon dioxide output during production and shipment.
